Description

As the new network administrator of a private midwestern college running a Microsoft Windows Server 2022 network, you are asked to create the users and groups shown below.

Guidelines

  1. All operations should be on your Windows Server 2022 computer.

  2. Create an Organizational Unit (OU) named HC in your domain. Create all new users and groups in the HC Organizational Unit.

  3. Create Staff users with the following properties:
    • set the password to initially be P@ssw0rd.
    • uncheck User must change password at next logon

  4. Create Faculty users with the same properties as Staff.

  5. Create a Staff global security group (Description "Staff") and add members appropriately.

  6. Create a Faculty global security group (Description "Faculty") and add members appropriately.

  7. Create a Council global security group (Description "Faculty Council") and add Joan Griffing and James Thompson as members.

  8. Create a BusChair global security group (Description "Business Department Chair" and add Enrique Barreiro as a member.


Hesston College Students

  1. Create a Students group (Description "Students") with the same properties as Staff.

  2. Create the following student users (Description "Student") and place them in the Students group. Follow the naming convention used for faculty and staff. User names should be no more than eight characters long. Decide how to handle duplicates and apply your policy accordingly.
